Here
you can admire fantastic ancient hand painted Italian tiles
from Tuscany, date back to the beginning of nineteenth century,
realized according to the ancient technique. Hand painted,
they remind foreshortenings of villages and Tuscan landscapes,
that you can gaze at and purchase; pieces of work will help
you to give a touch of art and colour to your home whether
rustic or modern, or a new gift idea for a wedding!
These
are not exactly tiles, but pantiles; if you would like to
know something more about their history, you can go to the
'Pantiles History' section, where you
can explore their birth and evolution in the time, helping
to build roofs. Most of the time on this site we will simply
report them as 'Tiles' instead of Pantiles for simplicity.
These
tiles we are showing you, are not the usual painted Tiles
you find around, in Italy 'decoupage-style', but each one
of them is a unique work of art, and each one has its own
unrepeatable subject. The beauty of each and everyone is the
details to which the artist dedicates particular attention
and minuteness!
This
site is keeping frequently updated,
especially for the pieces of work introduced, always increasing;
therefore if you can not find works of your pleasure, you
can come back to visit us soon, to check new pieces. If you
have instead a comment to leave us, a particular request to
satisfy, or a question we did not give you on these pages,
please write us an email to information@artesutegole.com or
click on the button' EMAIL'
on the left.
Let's
have a look to the main sections of this site:
The
section'Pantile's History' gives you
a brief description how pantiles and tiles were born and evolved
through time, and the matter used to make them.
The
section'Final Touch' is currently
in construction and it will shortly
describe the steps which from simple tiles they become unique
pieces.
In
the section' Pantile's Gallery'
we finally introduce you these hand painted pantiles; starting
from first page, at the bottom you'll have the choice to turn
pages one by one, or choose the one you like; every page contains
4 pantiles.
Happy browsing!
